She left Burson-Marsteller (B-M) in August 2008 following eleven years with Marsteller, B-M’s creative practice where she specialised in managing large, complex and mostly international accounts and projects. She was also one of B-M’s experts on strategic message development, running workshops and drafting communications materials. For most of her time at B-M, she was the Global Account Director – Recruitment Marketing for Accenture, responsible for strategic counselling and direction of the Marsteller team that created Accenture's global recruitment marketing campaigns. Jocelyn also took the lead on a wide range of other digital marketing and design projects for Accenture.
For Visa, she led a cross-practice B-M team in charge of Visa’s sports sponsorship communications for three Olympic Games (Athens 2004, Torino 2006, Beijing 2008) and the 2007 Rugby World Cup. Other key clients and projects included Shell Renewables (visual identity, advertising, literature, trade show exhibition stands, internal communications), Equitable Life (campaign literature and mailings, visual identity, annual report), the Engineering and Technology Board (campaign strategy, messaging and concept development), and the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew (brand audit and strategic development).
The first half of Jocelyn’s career was in advertising. In 1984 she founded Robert Jenkins Advertising with Robert Jenkins, pitching for and winning the agency's first account – Verbatim SA, then Europe's largest floppy disk manufacturer. Over the next eight years she worked on a wide range of accounts including Rémy Martin cognac, Campari, Kraft General Foods, Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, Inter-Continental Hotels, Jeyes household cleaning products, Start-rite Shoes and Bollé sunglasses.
Prior to founding Robert Jenkins Advertising, Jocelyn worked for Dancer Fitzgerald Sample International (DFS) where she co-ordinated advertising for international clients in Europe.
In 1992 she left to study for a Postgraduate Diploma in Arts Administration at City University in London. This was followed by a period in arts marketing, devising and implementing through-the-line campaigns for clients in the performing arts, events, leisure and entertainment.
Before joining Marsteller, Jocelyn worked for a corporate publishing company leading an editorial team responsible for copywriting and editing, client service and project management for clients such as American Express and British Airways.
