Edna Kissmann
Following varied and successful posts in large communications corporations, Edna is now one of the owners and senior partners in Kissmann Langford
She advises senior leaders of business and civic sector organisations worldwide, utilising her 30+ years of experience in the strategic management of global communication issues, campaigns and systems. Her expertise is broad, with particular emphasis on the healthcare and consumer goods/services sectors and direct managerial experience in the US, Europe (UK and Germany in particular) and Israel.
Edna’s recent experience includes founding two “think tanks”: the Oxford Dialogue Project and Oxford Vision 2020. The latter aims to bring fundamental change in the way governments, industry, NGOs and academia address the increasing global burden of chronic diseases in developed and developing countries. Edna’s experience in building such unusual alliances is currently being put to good use in her most recent enterprise – the founding of a “community interest company” (www.expecthealth.org.uk) dedicated to promoting health-related quality of life issues in the planning and delivery of healthcare.
She is a founding member of several business organisations in Europe and holds non-executive posts on a variety of management boards. She has been associated with Ashoka, first as a UK trustee and then as one of the first ASNs, since 2002.
Edna holds a Master of Arts summa cum laude from Boston University School of Public Communications (1972) and a Bachelor of Arts (English & Political Sciences) summa cum laude from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (1970)
